PUMPKINSAt Abby Lane Farm, we like to experiment with many different varieties of pumpkins, from giants to minis, from ‘super freaks’ to unusual colours, like blue pumpkins! We invite you to visit our farmgate stand to see what kinds of pumpkins we are growing in this year’s garden.

U-Pick pumpkins are the perfect pumpkins for carving Halloween Jack O’Lanterns.
Come and choose your own special pumpkin straight out of our authentic pumpkin patch!
Visits to our Pumpkin Patch to U-Pick your own pumpkins are by WAGON TOUR ONLY. If you cannot take the Tour, we have plenty of pumpkins to choose from at our Farmgate Stand.

• Giant PumpkinsGiant pumpkins are the stuff of fairytales and competitions.
Giant pumpkin varieties can grow to sizes that exceed 300 pounds!
The heaviest giant on record weighed in at 1,689 lb!
• Miniature Pumpkins
Mini pumpkins are mostly used for table decorations, but can also be eaten.
One pumpkin, stuffed and baked, is the perfect size for an individual serving!
We have some fun varieties of mini pumpkins: orange and white.
We also have white, pink and blue ‘speckled pumpkins’, Heritage, "Cinderella", and Sugar/Pie pumpkins. Pumpkins are not just for carving! Use pumpkins wherever you would use squash - they have great nutritive value.

Great for baking, especially pies. Pumpkin seeds are #2 on the "Super Foods List"!

SQUASHES
• Winter Squash
We grow several types of winter squash: Acorn, Hubbard (warted green, red and blue), Kabocha, Delicata/Sweet Dumpling, Buttercup, and Spaghetti squash. Also featuring: "Banana Pink Jumbo" and "Turks Turban".
• Summer Squash
Yellow Crookneck, and four types of Zucchini including "Eight Ball".
GOURDS
"Gremlins" from the Super Freak series, solid and speckled vibrant colours in shapes of stars, wings, acorns, mushrooms and necks.
Must be seen to be believed!
ORNAMENTAL CORN "Fiesta" a mottled non-eating corn of burgundy, reds, orange, yellows and blues.
Bundled corn stocks available.
SUNFLOWERS
We also grow giant sunflowers and cut sunflowers for boutiques and special events. Available in many Autumn colours.
